The LTP1 operates on an inline piston principle. The way in which the mechanism works means that sensitive cells are not damaged as with peristaltic pumps. And also the assembly design can be dismantled by hand meaning that cleaning is easy. Construction is from chemically resistant PEEK allowing the whole pumping mechanism to be autoclaved also.
